Tomorrow marks the end of Summer as the Autumn equinox is upon us. The leaves are falling and the nights are closing in but we are enjoying the new energy that surrounds the changing of the seasons. As we all reach for more hot coffee we wanted to remind you that this time of year is one of the most important to keep healthy and live well.

Here is our favourite Autumn cold-press recipe and why we believe it is so great for keeping us healthy this season.

Red 01 - Beetroot, Carrot, Pineapple, Ginger, Lemon.

Beets are a wonderful source of potassium, vitamin C and antioxidants. These antioxidants protect our little cells against free radicals which are molecules produced during the breakdown of food. During this change in the seasons our immune systems take a little time to adjust and you may feel lethargic, pick up colds/flus more easily or just feel a little down in the dumps with the colder weather and darker mornings! Drinking beetroot juice daily can help dramatically with fatigue and improve blood flow which is fantastic to fight off any of the unwanted autumnal blues. Our Red 01 is also packed full of ginger which is very warming as it helps to maintain normal blood circulation, strengthens our immune systems and helps to prevent pain and inflammation. We believe that Ginger is pretty much a magic plant as its health benefits are endless and its very readily available - wherever you can add it, do!

Speaking of Ginger, we would also recommend a morning health shot alongside a cold-press for the perfect cleansing combo. We love our Ginger, Apple & Lemon health shot which will give you that punchy flavour and much needed vitamins and minerals to set you up of your day. It also aids digestion so you can begin your day with a healthy, happy gut. If you are making these at home you could add some Cayenne Pepper which is a fantastic metabolic booster.

Juicing through the seasons is like a little helping hand for our bodies and helps provide us with all the necessary nutrients we need to keep us feeling our very best.

Lets embrace Autumn together, its going to be a beautiful one.
